Danielle and Erik had an intimate wedding, just close family and a few friends, gathered in a small clearing in the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens in Betty’s Bay.
After the ceremony, we quickly popped down to the beach for photos. We started out taking a few photos in the gardens, but as beautiful as the gardens are, it was just a little restrictive for me, I like wide open spaces, nature, a sense of “wildness”. Luckily, my adventurous couple felt the same, and were only too happy to let me whisk them off to the beach for a while.
As the sun set, Danielle and Erik enjoyed a quiet, sociable dinner with their guests. The tables were decorated with fynbos flowers and nostalgic snapshots telling the story of the couple’s childhood memories. The children made themselves cozy with blankets, pillows and colouring-in books and crayons, as the adults sipped champagne, and chatted and laughed through the evening till late.
