I get asked certain questions on a regular basis. I’ve listed some of these questions and the answers I give, to help provide you with all the info you need to make an informed decision…
Q: How would you describe your style of photography?
A: My photography is a blend of artistic and natural (photo journalistic) styles. I capture the informal, private moments, capture the romance as well as getting the classic shots without imposing on you or your guests.
Q: Do you photograph other events?
A: Yes! I am available for family, maternity, baby, boudoir, engagement and corporate shoots, please contact me for a quote
Q: How do we book you?
A: Booking is attained on signed acceptance of my quote and payment of the required deposit. Please go to my website (www.yvettegilbert.com) and click on the “Contact” link in order to submit a request for info
Q: Do you also do videography?
A: No, I am a stills specialist. Photography and videography are both highly specialised fields and take a good deal of time to perform, I do not recommend hiring one person to do both simultaneously.
Q: What are your rates?
A: My wedding packages range between R12 000 and R20 000, please contact me to request a quotation with more information
Q: What is the length of offered photographic coverage at a wedding?
A: My standard time offered is 7 hours, however I can stay later at an additional fee, please contact me to request a quotation for more information.
Q: Do we get all the images taken on the day, including out-takes?
A: No. although I take a fair amount of images at a function. You will receive the amount indicated by the quote, according to the package you choose, however please note this is indicates the minimum amount of images you will receive. All images are professionally edited, no RAW images are ever supplied, as I am not willing to compromise on quality.
Q: Do you shoot digital or film?
A: I shoot 100% digital.
Q: How long after the function will we receive our images?
A: This depends on the time of year, but in general please allow 6 – 8 weeks for your images. Summer generally tends to be busier than winter, but all effort will be made to hand over the final product as quickly as possible.
Q: Do you have backup equipment in case of failure?
A: Yes, most certainly, I always have two cameras on me and multiple lenses at every shoot. Every effort is made to protect your images while they are in my care.
Q: Will you stay later at our function?
A: Absolutely, however overtime charges may apply as stated in my terms and conditions (sent with quote)
